Two days relaxing in the private villa in Krabi was exactly what we needed after travelling to Bangkok, Phuket and Phi Phi Islands. After staying in the villa our group split up and we decided to explore more of Krabi and the surrounding paradise islands such as Poda, Rai and others, whilst the others decided to go to Koh Samui. We were looking for a Krabi hotel that would be relaxing, but not too far from the restaurants and water taxis in Aonang. And then we found the perfect one - Aonang Cliff Beach Resort.
Krabi’s 4 star boutique hotel Aonang Cliff Beach Resort does not only have a central location, it also features spectacular views of the cliff and Andaman Sea. I don’t recommend you to stay in Krabi, since there is no beach there (only a river) so that is why staying in this Aonang is the perfect option. Here you will find yourself right in the heart of everything, while also being able to enjoy the peace and quiet of the hills.
Aonang Cliff Beach Hotel has 97 newly refurbished, spacious guest rooms in Superior, Deluxe and Ocean View categories. We were lucky enough to stay in one of their 32 Panorama Suites that offers a lovely balcony with your own private bathtub - I fell in love with it the minute I saw it. And did I mention the dramatic views? You can admire the limestone cliffs, the islands, as well as the turquoise waters - hence the name of this amazing Krabi resort. Our room was super spacious with a luxurious King Size bed and had the coolest bathroom I have ever seen - a bathroom with glass windows, so you can admire the sea views even when you brush your teeth or have a refreshing rain shower! What a clever feature!
The poolside
The day we arrived we decided to enjoy the resort. The hotel has 2 pools and one of them is a brand new infinity pool with jacuzzi beds in it. The panoramic views when you swim are just what you’re looking for when you’re travelling to Thailand. We had a lovely lunch just next to the pool in the restaurant and stayed in the naturally shaded lounge area after for some Mai Tai cocktails. Just before the sunset we made our way up to their romantic rooftop bar and dining venue - The Peak. The hotel invited us for a lovely small cocktail party, where we witnessed even better better views of the lovely scenery in Aonang.
