Kempinski Hotel Bahia has recently undergone an extensive redesign, reopening in March with a stunning new lobby design as well as refreshed culinary outlets. I was very excited to witness the unveiling of their two new dining venues, which form part of their new restaurant concept called El Paseo Del Mar, which is a gastronomic hot spot, combining three fantastic concepts - the Black Rose Bar, Baltazár Bar & Grill and Spíler Beach Club. El Paseo del Mar has been created with the help of the Zsidai Gastronomy Group from Budapest and they have brought a really unique and a different touch to this already gorgeous five star hotel in Estepona.
As soon as I stepped into the new lobby area, I must say I was really impressed - the interior design, the lights, the colors and all the little details like tassels etc really give this place a new life! It almost feels like it’s a brand new hotel. We were greeted in the new Black Rose Bar and Lounge with a selection of their speciality cocktails, accompanied by a variety of delicious snacks in the lobby of the hotel. My favorite cocktail by far was the Raspberry Eve - I can see myself enjoying quite a few rounds of these on my next visit! After sipping on the lovely cocktails, we made our way down to the new restaurant/steakhouse called Baltazár Bar & Grill. This poolside restaurant is all about fresh ingredients, prepared with love! Not only does the restaurant look stunning and very inviting, I love the fact that they use a Josper Grill and Tandoor oven to cook the best cuts of regional meat and fish to perfection. I got to try both fish and meat and they really were to die for! The food was spot on, as well as the service and I’m already looking forward to my next visit!
