My go-to holistic doctors in Marbella

I’m very grateful to have found these amazing doctors in Marbella, that have treated not only me but also my little ones. Our paediatrician, Javier Arrillaga (+34 952 823 825) , is a private doctor that might seem expensive for some, but he is worth every penny - and so is your family’s health. The first visit costs 80€, and the next ones are charge 60€ per visit. He is not just an average medical doctor, but he is also a homeopath and always prescribes homeopathy as a first option. And we have been very lucky not to have ever had to give our kids any medicines besides homeopathy - that’s how good it works. And if you are not familiar with homeopathy yet, I highly recommend to look into it - as you’ll find how amazing it is and discover the power of our body’s ability to heal.

The other doctor that has been my husband’s family doctor all of his life is Cathy Pohlmann (+34 952 783 455) in San Pedro de Alcantara. She is also amazing and Javier Arrillaga was also her paediatrician. And in the same office with Dra. Pohlmann is an amazing physiotherapist, Javier García Aguirre, should you ever need one.

What is homeopathy?

Homeopathy is a form of alternative medicine that stimulates and strengthens the body’s ability to heal itself.

It is a medical system that was developed in Germany more than 200 years ago, based on two unconventional theories:

“Like cures like”—the notion that a disease can be cured by a substance that produces similar symptoms in healthy people.

“Law of minimum dose”—the notion that the lower the dose of the medication, the greater its effectiveness. Many homeopathic products are so diluted that no molecules of the original substance remain.

Homeopathic products come from plants (such as red onion, arnica [mountain herb], poison ivy, belladonna [deadly nightshade], and stinging nettle), minerals (such as white arsenic), or animals (such as crushed whole bees). Homeopathic products are often made as sugar pellets to be placed under the tongue; they may also be in other forms, such as ointments, gels, drops, creams, and tablets. Treatments are “individualized” or tailored to each person—it’s common for different people with the same condition to receive different treatments.

Even the royal family swears by homeopathy and King Charles III is also the patron of the Faculty of Homeopathy (FoH). The royal family's connection to homeopathy can be traced back to the early 19th century. Queen Victoria, who reigned from 1837 to 1901, became a fervent supporter of homeopathy after seeking treatment from the renowned homeopathic physician, Dr. James Manby Gully. Impressed by the positive results, she introduced homeopathic remedies to her immediate family, including her husband Prince Albert and their nine children.
