Whenever we visit Malaga, we always end up lunching or dining in our all time favorite restaurant in Malaga - Pez Tomillo. It’s not one of those tourist trap ones in the centre of Malaga, as it’s quite hidden - located in Pedregalejo. But it’s still frontline beach and the place itself has a very funky cool vibe. It’s not the poshest restaurant, it’s just right in the middle - casual and very reasonably priced. And of course the food is simply divine. We discovered it because we visited their sister restaurant in Seville (Perro Viejo and also Seis is amazing) and we noticed that the group that owns the restaurants also have one in Malaga!
What to order? Everything is good!
We always go for the Tuna Ceviche, Prawn Twisters, local Payoyo Cheese, The Carbon Cod, sometimes the risotto and of course you must try their desserts - they’re all amazing, but my husband’s favorite has to be the Torrija. Yum! We also like that they always feature local wines from Malaga and Ronda - a great way to support local businesses and also the wines are so good.
