Child friendly restaurants in Marbella

Updated: Aug 28, 2023

After becoming a parent, we have changed which restaurants/cafes we go to, which is normal. But to be honest I’m so surprised that there isn’t that many family or kid friendly places in Marbella. Just even a small corner for the kids would make a difference to so many parents. So this post is more about places to eat with your children, that is not only a playground for children, but actually also a lovely place to dine out. Feel free to comment below your favorite places to go out with your family!

1. Bossa Estepona/Selwo

2. Tragabuches by Dani Garcia

3. Ammo beach club (closed in the winter)

4. Bocana Beach

5. Paradise Beach in Puerto Banus

6. Manuka (in Marbella centre and in Hotel Alanda)

7. Amara Cafe in Atalaya

8. Chiringuito in Puente Romano

9. Trocadero playa

10. Centro Hipico El Repique - Horse Riding Centre

1. Bossa Estepona

Located near Selwo and the new American school, Bossa is a beautiful new cafe that has a big kid's area in the back of the restaurant. It's a stunning bakery. juice bar. deli shop. boutique pop up. flower bar. they offer take away. private chefs and organise events. The place also boasts a huge terrace for outdoor dining.

2. Tragabuches Dani Garcia

Tragabuches is a lovely restaurant with pure Andalusian cuisine, culture and product. A refuge to enjoy the flavours of Andalusia with the family. On the other hand there is a bar, which has tapas, and other dishes that will be exclusive there. Tragabuches dedicates a huge space to children and they have created the first kids club of the Dani García Group. A spacious and open space with the usual family atmosphere in which you will find tables and games where the younger members of the family can have fun. The best place for me for fine dining with the kids!

3. Ammo Beach club in San Pedro

Ammo is not actually a kid restaurant/cafe but it’s a lovely family friendly beachclub in San Pedro de Alcantara, right next to Alabardero. I love going there with my babygirl as they have the best white sand from Cadiz, and a stunning swimming pool with easy access to kids. And of course you have the stunning boho style sunbeds and the whole place looks and feels very zen. It almost feels like you’re on the beach, but you’re not. It’s not cheap though, as the beds are around €20 (€30 high season), but it’s a great treat for you and for the little one as a special day out! UPDATE: The beach club closes for the winter months.

4.Bocana Beach in Marbella

Bocana is also not an actualy children’s cafe or playground, but it’s right on the beach, so you can sit in the restaurant and your little one can play on the sand right next to you. Also the prices are very reasonable and overall I love to dining there.

5.Paradise Beach

Our all time favorite beach place, not only because it’s conviently situated on the beach opposite a kids park, but also the food is great and it’s right next to Puerto Banus after La Pesquera. Make sure to always book in the weekends as the place gets packed!

6. Manuka

Manuka is one of our favorite places to eat with our daughter, whether in the one in Hotel Alanda or the one in the Paseo Maritimo. But the latter one also has a lovely kids area inside, also a ball pit where they can jump (but that costs extra) and some to for them to enjoy.

7. Amara Cafe

A healthy food cafe in Atalaya that has a nice open space next to the cafe so your kids can run around freely. They used to have a kid park as well, but the town hall has taken it down and hopefully they will substitute it with a brand new one. During the weekends Amara also treats the little ones by putting up a bouncy castle!

8. Chiringuito by Fendi in Puente Romano

Boasting a winning combination of on-trend, healthy food and positive vibes, Chiringuito Puente Romano is the place to be. Besides the food, the place is stunning, has a lovely ibiza vibe and for the little ones you have the sand next to the tables and also there are some rabbits living next to the restaurants, so your little ones will be more than entertained!

9. Trocadero Playa

Situated on Santa Petronila beach, in the heart of Marbella’s Golden Mile, it doesn’t rest any day of the year opening only during lunch on the cold months. It’s perfect with kids as you can have them play on the sand or in the little kid park that’s also very closeby.

10. Centro Hipico El Repique - Horse Riding Centre

During the weekends you can enjoy Argentinean barbeque and on Sundays they offer Pony rides for the little ones, but do call first to make sure what time. Of course you can see the horses in the stables and there is a little kid park as well with swings etc, so it’s a great place to spend your Sunday lunch with the whole family.
