Provence Holiday #3: Dinner & Spa at La Bastide de Gordes

When you're staying at a palace such as La Bastide de Gordes, you must dine at one of their 4 stunning restaurants. La Citadelle offers an excellent cuisine and gastronomic experience with a huge wine list to please the winelovers. You can either dine outdoors on the panoramic terrace to admire the sun setting over the Luberon or you'll equally enjoy you evening at the the lavish 18th century style restaurant. The dishes pay tribute to the premium ingredients and flavours of Provence: asparagus, local tomatoes, lobster, and roast saddle of lamb. We opted for a Foie Gras as the starters and chose the Steak and Sea Bass as the mains, that were both exquisite - not only in flavor, but also in the presentation. We finished our meal with a fluffy delicious Souffle filled with Gran Marnier and of course the liquor cherries! If you're looking to have another drink, the hotel bar is the perfect stop before heading to your room, and that's what we did - sipped a lovely rosé in front of their cozy fireplace.
