Best Tapas in Marbella

After writing where to dine in Tallinn I thought why not share one of my favourite places for tapas in Marbella. And let me know which ones are your favourite in the comments below!

What are tapas?

Tapas are Spanish snacks, canapés or finger food.

El Estrecho

Authentic Spanish tapa experience in the heart of Marbella Old Town

Located in the heart of Marbella's old town, El Estrecho has been getting in right since 1954, so they know they're business. The small restaurant is situated in the narrowest street in town, (el estrecho means narrow) but the selection of tapas is nothing but narrow. From hot to cold tapas, some of my favourites are - Russian Salad, Meatballs, Iberico Ham, Cured Cheese, Croquettes and many others. Whenever I have friends over, I try to take them there to experience the true Spanish tapa culture in an authentic and friendly environment.

BiBo

Imagine Michelin star tapas in a chic and trendy interior. This is Bibo.

Bibo is another level of tapas. Created by the Michelin star chef Dani Garcia, this Andalusian Brasserie & Tapas restaurant is located in a stunning 5 star resort called Hotel Puente Romano. Not only has mr. Garcia created a incredible menu, I am also in love with the interior of BiBo. BiBo is perfect for a lunch with girls and also ideal for dinner and drinks before heading to Puente Romano's famous nightclub Suite. A must-visit for all the gourmet tapa lovers.

Noa

Modern, simple, tasty and affordable. Noa ticks all the right boxes.

Noa is situated in one of my favorite areas in Marbella - San Pedro. It's a quiet and upcoming neighborhood with a brand new boulevard. And that is where Noa is located - right next to the boulevard. My favourite tapas there are the Russian Salad, Croquettes, Tuna Tataki, Fried Courgette Slices to name a few. They also show football matches and occassionally offer live music. Easy to park, great place for families, because they have a terrace next to the boulevard where kids can run around. And they're open all day!

El Comercio

Cozy and authentic. Not only tapas.

El Comercio is also located in San Pedro, not far from the boulevard, opposite one of my favourite Spanish restaurant Alfredo. Actually El Comercio is not jut tapas, but I love this place for their tapa selection. A must try is their Mussels El Comercio style, the Fried Courgette Sticks and I do love their Boquerones (fried fish) as well.
