These are my Top Natural Travel Supplements!

Since I didn't want to do all the vaccines people usually do when they travel somewhere exotic (Mexico in my case), I decided to find the best natural supplements and vitamins to boost my immune system & to avoid getting sick. Also my boyfriend's mother is a great natural/holistic therapist who always recommends natural remedies before anything. If you're interested in finding out more about Susana, visit her website www.susanajames.com & book your appointment today! Also my mother has been taking natural supplements and vitamins now for years and she has also taught me how important they are! And how you can prevent illness instead of curing it with antibiotics & other medicines doctors prescribe you. So thank you to my two moms, who help me stay healthy in the best possible way - naturally! So here are my top travel supplements:

Vitamin C with Rose Hip

-Protects from potential oxidative damage

-Enhances the immune system.

One of the most common nutrients to take when you think you're getting sick is vitamin C, which is an important antioxidant that may improve immune function due to its ability to scavenge damaging free radicals. So make sure to pack it with you!

Resveratrol
-Did you know airport scanners expose you to radiation? So what you can do to fight it is take polyphenols. Polyphenols are plant-based antioxidants that protect tissues from ionizing radiation. Resveratrol, quercetin, and green tea polyphenols rank among the best-studied and most potent antioxidants in this class. Resveratrol is both a radiation protector in healthy tissue and also has antitumor activity.
Astaxanthin
-Astaxanthin—one of about 700 different carotenoids—is now believed to be the most powerful antioxidant found in nature. And it also protects the skin against UV damage!
Vitamin B1
-Vitamin B1 (thiamine) is backed by numerous studies to help prevent insect bites. So taking vitamin B1 is a proven alternative to sprays and wipes to make you less prone to insect bites.
Vitamin D
- Vitamin D supports general health & immunity. Vitamin D is an essential vitamin with many critical roles in the body, such as promoting bone health, supporting muscular function, and reducing inflammation.

Tea tree oil

- Tea tree oil is not only a great mosquito repellent, but it also works wonders on the bites, rashes, eczema etc. It does so much - it's an Antiseptic, Anti-fungal,Antibiotic, Antibacterial, Soothes inflammation & Fights infection. Need I say more?

Organic tanning lotions

- I recently discovered amazing organic tanning lotions by Suncare Central called Natural Tone. So this is the first time I'm actually testing them. I have started to use their moisturiser with Aloe already to prevent sunburn. Anyway, I'll make sure to blog about them after my trip!

(P.S. I didn't add probiotics, since I just finished a two-week course. But they are also very useful to take when traveling, if you haven't been using them recently.)
