What is it really like living in Marbella? If you only know Marbella from Instagram, you might imagine everyday life is all beach clubs, long lunches and wandering around Puerto Banús in something fabulous.
Sometimes it is. But there’s also work, appointments, last-minute changes, cancelled plans, getting ready in a hurry and all the wonderfully normal things happening behind the highlight reel.
After living in Marbella for over 15 years, I thought it was time to share more of that side of my life too. So alongside my Marbella guides and Marbella Life Podcast, I’m starting a new vlog series taking you behind the scenes of what my life in Marbella actually looks like.
And the first episode has a little bit of everything.
I take you with me for a PRP hair treatment at Medik Hair Clinic, visit one of my favourite under-the-radar wellness discoveries and share some of the everyday reality of balancing work, podcasting and life in Marbella. There’s also fashion - because naturally I need to decide what to wear . before getting ready for a cocktail event at Dani García’s Lobito del Mar.
And because things rarely go exactly according to plan, you’ll also see what happens when a podcast recording gets cancelled at the last minute. Plus, I may have discovered my new favourite non-alcoholic summer drink… IYLIA. which feels particularly useful when you live somewhere with approximately 7,436 opportunities to have a glass of wine every summer.
This new series isn’t just about where to eat or what to do in Marbella. I want to show you what it actually feels like to live here - the beautiful places, fashion, events, wellness and restaurants, but also the work, the unexpected changes and the ordinary moments in between.
